‘Bad’ fans react to film, shock and delight on faces in theaters
“Wicked” premiered on Broadway more than two decades ago… but it seems the team behind the film has still found a way to shock diehard fans — because people are posting videos of their friends going crazy.
The biggest movie of the year premiered in the US on Thursday night… and TikTok is already filling up with fan reactions to the film that are leaving them in awe.
No spoiler warning here, by the way… because it’s unclear exactly which scenes will make people react this way — though the movie is supposed to be a faithful adaptation of the musical, so if you know the show you might not be as shocked as these viewers.
Lots of fists, hands over mouths and shocked laughter… it’s so clear that this moment triggers visceral reactions from theatergoers.
The new movie is already super “popular”… and the film has reportedly raked in $20 million in previews – with a projected three-day opening between $130 and $150 million.
Of course, even $150 million will be just a drop in the bucket when you compare it to the budget spent making the film and paying for the massive marketing campaign… although it’s a very good start.
Moreover, we have a feeling that the film will have no trouble defying the gravity of the box office because there are moments when the audience reacts like that!
