‘The Penguin’ Episode 5 Ratings: 1.8 million viewers
The fifth episode of “The Penguin” achieved its highest viewership yet on Sunday, with 1.8 million viewers on HBO and Max.
The Colin Farrell-led DC show has seen some ratings increases since its debut on September 19. Warner Bros. Discovery initially reported that episode 1 drew 5.3 million viewers, but that total accounted for four viewing days across platforms as the series began streaming on Max on Friday before airing in its traditional Sunday timeslot on HBO’s linear channel . When Episode 2 debuted the following week with 1.6 million viewers in one night, WBD recorded a 17% increase in viewership in one day, indicating that the premiere episode attracted approximately 1.3 million viewers on its first night at Max.
WBD did not report total viewership for Episode 3 of “The Penguin,” which aired on Oct. 6. But on October 13, the fourth episode reached 1.7 million viewers – an increase of around 6% – before episode 5 was boosted by another 6. % to 1.8 million viewers.
While reporting Episode 5’s viewership, WBD also noted that Episode 1 passed 14.2 million viewers on Sunday, and that Sunday was the best viewing day for the series overall, meaning a greater number of subscribers were talking about the episodes tuned in than ever before. .
