“I think her journey – the five years from her peak to come, disappear, come back, disappear, come back,” said Kelly, 35, during his Friday, June 20, appeared on the Today Show. “She is an epic story. That is what Saga means.”
Kelly seemed to refer to the ups and downs that he and Fox, 39, experience when it came to expand their families. Fox revealed in November 2023 that they suffered a “very difficult” miscarriage in the midst of their relationship.
During the performance of Friday talk shows, Kelly also explained that the name of the newborn was somewhat inspired by his Norwegian heritage.
“That is the northern goddess of telling stories,” he added. “So, she has to tell stories for her.”
Kelly announced in March that he and Fox had welcomed their daughter. (Fox is also the mother of Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11 and Journey, 8, with ex-husband Brian Austin GreeN. Kelly shares daughter Casie, 15, with ex Emma -ANanon.)
“She’s finally here !!” He scored an Instagram video at the time. “Our little heavenly seed.”
They kept the name of the baby until Tuesday 17 June, when Kelly shared a video of playing music on a ukulele for his daughter.
“Saga Blade Fox-Baker,” he lifted the clip and kept her face hidden in front of the camera.
Kelly and Fox were romantically connected for the first time in 2020 and were engaged two years later. They quietly split in November 2024 after FOX announced that she was pregnant with his child.
“Megan is a great mother,” said Kelly during Friday Today appearance. “She kills it. I’m so excited.”
Despite his friendly words about Fox, the two are “absolutely not together again at the moment,” said a source US Weekly Exclusive last month.

“Megan thinks MGK has been performed and is a good father, but does not think they have a romantic future,” the insider added. “Megan is in heaven with her baby girl and is really aimed at being a mother.”
However, Fox is ‘grateful’, that Kelly has been by her side in the aftermath of Saga’s birth, and their relationship is now ‘everything about the baby’.
“The baby is already wrapped around his finger,” the source added. “Megan has noticed that his energy is different, the gaze in his eyes is different, his aura has changed. She feels that the baby is exactly what he needed and she hopes it will linger.”
Although Kelly has stated that he ‘wants it to work’, Fox is not ‘hanging in’. The insider explained: “Megan feels in peace and closed the door of the relationship.”
