An eyewitness shot the images on Saturday and placed it on social media, so that everyone who saw it shocked, including the woman who filmed it. That woman could be heard while the man bit the rodent.
Kathleen Corradi, director of NYC of rodent mitigation, warns that rats can be harmful to your health because they can transport pathogens that are organisms that cause diseases.
She also says that rodents can wear ectoparasites, leeches that infect the outer layer of your skin.
Moreover, Corradi asks that people stay away from rats and their urine and droppings where possible, while also wearing personal protective equipment when they come across a dead rodent.
Based on this information, it seems as if the health of the Rat eater could be endangered. Let’s hope the NYC authorities reach him earlier than later with him.
